Today was pretty awesome if you asked me! I was a little
worried this morning because I had a group conversation test and also had an
appointment with one of my sensei ( or so I thought) at 5pm after class.
So when class started I was surprised that we had a sub
today but he was a great sensei and maybe in the future when I make it to level
7 of Japanese he will be my sensei ^^. So after sensei did role call we were
already getting put in are groups and told we had 20 mins to come up with a
script from the pictures we were given randomly.
My group had a picture of a
girl talking on the phone with her bf that was at work very busy and his
coworker don't look very pleased that he is on the phone instead of working
like the rest of them.... I know I'm putting a lot of detail in to this lol but
that what I thought when I looked at the pictures.
After the 20 minutes were up, it was time to do the group
conversation in Japanese. I was so nervous and worried I was not going to
remember my lines but I told myself I wouldn't let me self or my group down. We
ended up going first since we lost jankenpon AGAIN lol (it’s like rock, paper scissors).
The reason I said again is because the group I was in yesterday lost because of
me lol and we had to go first as an example of what to expect tomorrow *sign* I
did horrible yesterday because I didn't know what to say or do lol but today I
think I did pretty great and I hope my group gets a good grade.
After school I said bye to my friends and went to the main
building for my Japanese oral exam. I
thought I was going to be talking to one of my teachers but oooooooooh was I wrong.
I didn’t even know who the women was but I had a feeling she was a level 7
teacher because she spoke so fast lol but I think I did well! I was able to
understand everything she said and before I new it we was talking about
shopping. ^^ 1 topic I’m really good at talking about in Japanese lol.
I feel my weakness in Japanese is that I don’t know enough
vocab >_<. When ever she would ask my a question sometimes I wasn’t able
to respond the way I wanted to so it was kind of heard getting what I wanted to
say out. At first I thought my hearing was my weakness because whenever someone
would speak to me in Japanese I would always try to translate it back to English
in my head and I finally realized that I shouldn’t do that, because I’m only
making it harder on myself and that wont help me get to my goal in becoming
fluent in Japanese and one day able to go to uni over here.
Since I stopped that I now can understand about 80% what
someone is saying to me in JapaneseJ
and since I been going to kcp I now know about 100 kanji.
Well that’s all I feel like writing today. Might write
about my shopping adventure in Harajuku! My most favorite shopping spot J
Cya!
